OFFERING RECIPES, STORIES, COOKING DEMONSTRATIONS & INSPIRATION
Colleen was raised in a family known for talented cooks, hardworking individuals, skilled gardeners, and engaging storytellers. They were characterized by their quick minds, strong spirits, and kind hearts. I invite you to discover a piece of my beloved New England here. I have a deep love for God, people of all ages, and life itself. I am devoted to enhancing the lives of others. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to share these important things with you.
I LOVE...
By Kimberly Bruce Perkins
The sight of a deer in autumns late
The smell of venison on my plate
Mulling cider on the stove
Collecting shells in a cove
Eggs and bacon on a Sunday morn
Carving pumpkins and husking corn
Fickle weather and the changing tide
Meeting the dawn with matching stride
Making a living where you tread
Your greatest comfort being warm and fed.
Knowing a servant of his land
That takes the earth by the hand.
Pleasant evenings and mystic nights
Catching a glimpse of the Northern lights
A drafty barn housing a newborn calf.
When it seems like daylight has been cut in half
Apple pie and banana bread
Warming bricks for the foot of your bed
Fireworks and the Fourth of July
Going to church and knowing why
Snow-covered mountains and a rocky coast
I love these things, but what I love the most.
